POLICE are appealing for information following a spate of cable thefts in the Bankfields, Eston and Normanby areas, near Middlesbrough.
The thefts have taken place over the last three months and in some areas have left vulnerable and elderly residents without any method of communication, leaving them significantly distressed.
There have been up to 15 incidents over the three month period.
Anyone with information regarding the incidents or those believed to be responsible is asked to contact PC Brian Lightowler from Eston Neighbourhood Policing Team on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
CIVIC SERVICE: The mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Councillor Vic Jeffries, will be holding his Civic Sunday Service at St Mark’s Church, Marske on Sunday, October 6 at 11am. All members of the community are welcome to attend the Service, which will be followed by refreshments in the White House.
