MORE than 30 dedicated volunteers have seen their hard work recognised during Teesside Hospice’s Long Service Awards.
The Hospice, which has more than 500 volunteers on its books, celebrates people reaching five, ten, 15 and 20 years’ service.
Carole Hughes, Volunteer Co-ordinator at Teesside Hospice said: “After ten years as the volunteer co-ordinator at Teesside Hospice, I continue to be overwhelmed and proud of the commitment and support we receive from our volunteers. The Hospice benefits greatly from the precious time they give, from retail assistants to coffee shop volunteers, from van assistants to administrative support, every role is important.”
If you have spare time that you would like to dedicate to your local charity there are many volunteer opportunities available – visit www.teessidehospice.org/get-involved or call Carole Hughes on 01642-811141 to find out more.
