DESPITE strong winds battering the North-East the weather forecast for the Bank Holiday weekend is looking a bit more promising.
A weather warning was issued today (Friday) across the region due to the high winds but by tomorrow (Saturday) morning the wind is due to drop and the temperature start to rise.
And the MeteoGroup is predicting a warm and pleasant weekend but there is a small chance of showers by the Monday.
A spokeswoman said: “The low pressure that has brought cold temperatures and strong winds is moving away from the region and we are going to see the weather starting to change for the weekend.
“Today (Friday) the temperature has not made it out of single figures but tomorrow could see temperatures up to 16 degrees in the region. The good weather will continue on the Sunday with temperatures possibly reaching 18-19 degrees but moving into Monday there is going to be a risk of showers.”
