TEESSIDE Shopping Park has donated £10,000 to help hundreds of local school children discover the joy of reading. This is the second year the National Literacy Trust’s Young Readers programme has been funded by Teesside Park’s owner British Land in partnership with WH Smith. The shopping centre’s windfall will help 250 children at St Bedes in Stockton and Ayresome Primary and Beechgrove in Middlesborough.
PUPPET SHOW: A Punch and Judy show is being held on Saturday, June 15, from 11am to 3pm, with face-painting and balloon-making between shows at Castlegate Shopping Centre in Stockton. Children will also be able to create cards, key rings and photo frames to celebrate Father’s Day.
