BEACH FUN: FAMILIES are being invited to explore Hartlepool’s marine environment at a special Low Tide Day, organised jointly by the Borough Council’s Countryside Team, the Wild Green Spaces in Hartlepool project and Natural England, and will take place at Seaton Carew on Sunday (May 26) from 10am-2pm. Anyone wishing to take part in the day should meet beside the lifeguards’ hut next to the Rocket House car park. The rockpool ramble, which is dependent upon the tide, is scheduled to start at 10am.

CRAFT SESSIONS: People are being invited to sharpen their skills in a Fairtrade craft based session at Marton Library, Middlesborugh, on Wednesday (May 22). Cherie Kemp of Eco Arty Clarty will host an introductory session to show how to make useful things out of recycled materials. STOLEN CAR: Cleveland Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen from Westbourne Road in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, at 2.35pm on Wednesday, May 8. The grey Vauxhall Astra was left unattended with the keys in the ignition and the engine running, when a man got into the vehicle and drove off. The vehicle was recovered the following day by police, parked up and secure. The man is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, skinny build and wearing a grey hooded top. Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Marie Appleby on the non-emergency number 101.

COME TO MILL: A milling demonstration will take place on Sunday and next Monday, May 27, from 2pm until 4pm, at Tocketts Mill, a mile outside Guisborough on the A173 Skelton Road. Admission is £1.50 for adults, £1 for OAPs and children 25p.

TABLE TOP SALE: A table top sale and coffee morning will be held at the New Life Church, at the corner of Grosmont Close and West Dyke Road, Redcar, on Saturday, June 1, between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

CYCLE THEFT: A 38-year-old man has been reported for cycle theft by British Transport Police (BTP) following a public appeal for information. BTP previously released CCTV footage after a bike was stolen from the cycle racks at Thornaby station.
