A BUS company has announced a change to its geographic pricing zones to allow customers to travel further for less.
Arriva North East has replaced its Darlington borough zone with a new Aycliffe and Darlington zone, which means that commuters between the two towns will pay less for their journey.
A day ticket for the new zone is £5.50 for unlimited travel while a weekly ticket will cost £16.
Nick Knox, area managing director from Arriva North East, said: “We are delighted to be able to extend this zone and offer passengers in this area the means to access these cheaper fares.
"These price reductions will be a great benefit to regular customers. It is important that we listen to our customers and continue to make improvements to the network to ensure we encourage more people to get on board with bus travel."
