England’s Lionesses have made it through to the semi-final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and they will now take on co-hosts Australia.
Following a 2-1 win over Colombia at the weekend, the team will take on the Matildas who are 10th in FIFA’s global rankings, six places below England.
The remaining teams in the tournament are England, Australia, Spain and Sweden.

How to watch England play Australia on TV
The semi-final match between England and Australia will take place in Sydney on Wednesday, August 16.
Viewers in the UK can watch the match, which will take place at Stadium Australia, on BBC One from 10am.
Kick-off is scheduled an hour later at 11am.
When are the semi-final matches taking place?
Spain take on Sweden at 9am on Tuesday, August 15 while England and Australia play the day after on August 16.

When will Lauren James be available to play?
England will be without Lauren James again as she serves a two-match ban.
The 21-year-old was sent off in the match against Nigeria when she stood on defender Michelle Alozie.
James would be available to play in the final of the Women’s World Cup if England were to go through.
