Although Love Island has had many contestants over the years who tend to be of the younger generation (in their late teens or early 20s), there have also been ‘older’ islanders looking for love in the villa.
As the summer series of 2023 is well underway, many fans may be wondering who the oldest ITV reality tv stars are, as new bombshells Leah Taylor and Charlotte Summer arrived on our screens last night.
Leah from Manchester who works in social media marketing is 27 years old, while Charlotte is a dental nurse from Bournemouth and is 30 – their arrival prompted questions from viewers who have been searching for Love Island’s oldest contestants.
Here are some of the oldest islanders to have appeared on Love Island throughout the years.

Love Island’s oldest contestants throughout the years
Being in your late 20s and early 30s isn’t ‘old’ but with the likes of Gemma Owen entering the villa last year at the age of 19, viewers have often noticed an age gap within the groups in some series.
Jordan Ring from series one, Marcel Somerville from series three and Paul Knops from series four were all 31 when they took their chances for a summer of love, reports The Metro.
So far, they are the oldest contestants since the show began in 2015.

The late Sophie Gradon who appeared in season two was 30 years old and at the time she was one of the oldest women to be on the ITV2 series.
Other islanders including Laura Anderson, Tom Walker, Anna Vakili and Marvin Brooks all joined at the age of 29.
In 2016 Cara De La Hoyde-Massey was the oldest winner at 26 years old, sharing the same age as Jack Fincham who won series four.
Last year, Davide Sanclimenti and Andrew Le Page along with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu were the oldest at 27 before Jay Younger and Charlie Radnedge, both aged 28 arrived.
In this year’s winter Love Island, 27-year-old Olivia Hawkins was the oldest.
Love Island airs tonight at 9 pm on ITV2 and ITVX
