After the announcement of the Queens to star in season 3 of UK RuPaul’s Drag Race came last week, today the BBC have announced the celebrity judges that will take part in the show coming to screens this September.
Matt Lucas, Oti Mabuse and Kathy Burke have all been confirmed. They will join RuPaul alongside Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr as they search for the UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar.

Mabuse comes with her “strictly sparkle”, with her extensive dance experience that saw her crowned winner of Strictly Come Dancing twice.
Being on the set feels “surreal” she said, “’I’ve watched every episode since season 1 in the States, Canada, Down Under and I was excited to be on the UK one and meet the queens and work with them.”

Matt Lucas says he will bring a playful addition to the competition, saying that appearing on the show has long been on is bucket list.
He said: “But my years of wearing tights are behind me, so I was both relieved and delighted to be asked to be on the panel.”
Talking about his love for Drag Race, Lucas stressed the importance of celebrating “something which is all too rarely celebrated elsewhere.”
Finally, the judges panel will be completed by Kathy Burke, saying she’ll bring her “Gimme Gimme Gimme” realness to the judging panel.

Burke says she is a true fan of Drag Race, especially “very-kind-to-old- ladies’ lighting.” Her drag name would be Pam Demic and says her time on the show would be described as “important”.
