MORE than £50,000 worth of cocaine was seized in a drugs raid in Teesside on Wednesday (October 17).

The drugs were found at an address in South Bank, near Middlesbrough, along with scales and cutting agents.

Five arrests were made in connection with the find, which was recovered after police officers executed a drugs warrant at a property on Achilles Close.

Two men from the Teesside area and one from Manchester were arrested following the raid.

A man and a woman from the Eston area were subsequently arrested for conspiring to supply a Class A controlled drug.

The 29-year-old woman was released on bail pending further enquiries and the four men were charged with conspiracy offences.
