A BOOK of Condolence has been opened in memory of Middlesbrough MP Sir Stuart Bell who died at the weekend.
Sir Stuart was 74 and had been the town’s MP since 1983.
He was knighted in 2004 for services to Parliament and received the Légion d’Honneur in 2006 for his contribution to British-French relations.
The Book of Condolence is in the reception area at Middlesbrough Town Hall, and all are welcome to sign it. The book will be available until Sir Stuart’s funeral which is due to take place on Saturday, October 27.
