A RENOWNED violin virtuoso is returning to his home patch for a concert in aid of three worthy causes.
Guisborough -born Craig Owen, who has performed all over the world with stars including Tina Turner and Sir Cliff Rchard, is bringing his band to Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar , for a performance on Sunday, October 28.
It will raise funds for the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Councillor Denise Bunn's chosen charities - Macmillan Cancer Support, Parkinson's UK and Saltburn Animal Rescue Association.
It will be an exciting homecoming for Mr Owen, who began playing violin at the age of six and, as his career progressed, secured a record deal through producer Pete Waterman.
Coun Bunn said: "I am thrilled that Craig is coming back to his home area to help us raise money for three fantastic charities. I am sure it will be a wonderful occasion and hope as many people as possible take the chance to see such a great performer."
The show begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12 and are available from Redcar Tourist Information 01642-471921, Bike Scene, Guisborough 01287-610735, Saltburn Health Foods 01287-624622, Greensleeves Music Shop, in Guisborough, 01287-636028 or the Mayor's office, on 01642-444501.
