A COLLEGE has received a national accolade in recognition of its work tackling bullying.
Middlesbrough College is the first in the country to be given the honour from the Bullying Intervention Group (Big) after it proved it would not tolerate bullying.
Suze Clarke, the college's student liaison officer, said: "We're really pleased that our work against bullying has been recognised."
Val McFarlane, director of Big, said: "The college has really used innovative and creative ideas to stimulate interest among students about bullying, racism, acceptance and friendship."
