CHILDREN got their hands dirty for their community this week.
Pupils aged eight and nine from Roseworth Primary School planted bulbs at Roseworth Beck in Stockton, an area recently cleaned up by the council after being blighted by fly-tipping.
The children planted daffodils in the area near Ragpath Lane with adults from the Roseworth Community Partnership group.
Class teacher Hayley Wilson said: "They really enjoyed it. We've got a gardening club at the school so it was something they were into already. They were asking 'when can we go again?' and 'can we do it at school?' Of course they can't wait to see the daffodils. That's going to be the big moment."
