BANK workers have helped to overhaul a hospice's grounds.
Seven NatWest managers from the Teesside area swapped their work clothes for overalls to tidy the courtyard at Butterwick Hospice, in Stockton.
The bank's association with the hospice began in August when staff raised £250 through a local market raffle for the charity, with the bank donating an additional £250.
The team also wanted to help in a practical way.
Sean Bowman, the bank's chief executive in the Middlesbrough area, said: "Butterwick Hospice does a fantastic job providing inpatient, daycare and out-ofhours services for families in Stockton borough and we are only too pleased to do our bit to help them."
Fiona Wagner, head of nonclinical services at the hospice, said: "I am delighted with the results Sean and his colleagues have achieved and our patients will certainly benefit from the team's hard labour.
"A big thank you on behalf of Butterwick.
"This kind of gesture makes a huge difference here and makes your heart sing a little."
