STUDENTS have been working hard to collect gift boxes for deprived families in eastern Europe.
Children's charity Link Romania collected the filled boxes from Huntcliff School as part of its annual Family Shoebox Appeal.
Students from the Saltburn school produced more than 100 boxes that were brimming with toiletries, sweets, toys and stationery, and decorated with Christmas paper, bows and ribbon.
Aninter-form competition to see who could produce the most boxes was won by year nine with students Molly McMahon, 14, and 13-year-old Jack Harrison handing over the goodies.
With the shoebox appeal putting everyone in the festive spirit, the campus is gearing-up for its fourth Christmas fair, which will include refreshments, cakes, handmade gifts, raffles and games.
The fair will take place from 4.30pm until 6.30pm on Friday, December 2.
