YOUNG unemployed people are being invited to a jobs fair to help them back into employment or training.
The event, at Redcar Business Centre on Thursday, from 10am to 4pm, is open to anyone aged 16 to 25 not in education, employment or training.
More than 600 invitations have been sent out to young people across Redcar and Cleveland, but organisers are keen to make it clear that all young people from across the borough are welcome.
Councillor Mark Hannon, cabinet member for economic development, said: "The council is committed to providing opportunities for young people to help them into employment and training.
"This event brings together some of the area's biggest employers and helps young people find out about employment and training opportunities on offer to them."
Employers exhibiting at the event, which is being organised by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, include Coast and Country Housing, eachieve, Nordic Pioneer and Cleveland Fire Brigade.
