MORE than 50 staff from a Hartlepool secondary school are taking part in a charity run.
Staff from High Tunstall College of Science, known as Team Tunstall, will compete in the Great Langdale Christmas Pudding Run 10k race in December.
Assistant headteacher Mick Fenwick said it would be unknown territory for many. He said: "The large majority of the staff who will be taking part have never run a 10km race before but they are relishing the challenge.
"I have designed a training programme for each runner as people are at different levels.
"We have been training now for the past four weeks and you can see how everyone's fitness levels are getting stronger week by week.
"We probably won't break any world records but the main thing is that it will improve people's fitness and raise money for good causes at the same time."
Hesaid it was also a great team building exercise.
"The fact that more than 50 staff came forward to take part is a demonstration of the great camaraderie that now exists at High Tunstall."
