A MAN who stepped in to stop an argument during a night out was hit in the face with a glass.
Cleveland Police are appealing for information after the unprovoked attack left a man with a suspected broken nose. The incident happened at about 1am on Sunday, October 9, in the basement of the Medicine Bar, in Corporation Road, Middlesbrough.
When the victim intervened in a row between a man and a woman, he was hit in the face with a glass that did not shatter but caused him a suspected broken nose and a cut above the left eye.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in the town and will have to return for treatment.
The suspect is described as tall with dark hair, was wearing a green T-shirt and had tattoos across his chest.
