PEOPLE in Hartlepool are being asked for their views on how to defend their coast from the sea. Hartlepool Borough Council is reviewing its existing coastal protection strategy for the area, from Crimdon Dene down to Newburn Bridge.
Coastal protection strategies must be updated every five years and the authority has to update its blueprint. A drop-in consultation is being held on Wednesday, in the Borough Hall, on the Headland, from 1pm to 7pm. Call council principal engineer Dennis Hancock on 01429-523207.
