DOZENS of youngsters will come together on Monday to map out what needs to be done to secure a brighter future for the town.
Hartlepool's West View Project, a long-established young people's charitable organisation in the north of the town, is hosting the half-day event at Hartlepool's Maritime Experience, on the Marina.
Rebecca Wise, participation worker with West View Project, said: "The focus of the day will be on how children feel about their town and how safe they feel within the Hartlepool community.
"The young people of our town have so much to offer and their views are so important in taking the town forward.
"The large majority of schools have indicated that they will be contributing to the debate and everyone is looking forward to hearing what pupils have to say."
The event is supported by Hartlepool Borough Council.
