VINTAGE fire engines will be taking centre stage during a two-day action packed event.
The annual fire engine and vintage vehicle rally returns to Preston Park, Eaglescliffe, this weekend.
Firefighters from the Cleveland and County Durham and Darlington brigades will be carrying out demonstrations and offering free advice to visitors. Steve Owens, station manager for Thornaby and Yarm fire station, said: "Everyone at the brigade is really looking forward to the event which presents us with a great opportunity to get our key safety messages across to people."
The event, which is organised by former and serving firefighters, also includes vintage cars, military vehicles, a stunt show and fun fair.
Gates open at 10am tomorrow and Sunday, with the main arena attractions starting at noon. Entry costs £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children or concessions.
All proceeds will go to the Fire Service Benevolent Fund and the Great North Air Ambulance.
