VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help set a new sporting world record.
Futsal is an alternative form of football, normally played indoors with five players on a smaller pitch with a smaller ball.
And players are hoping to set a new record by playing for 36 hours non-stop next weekend while raising cash for their club at the same time.
However they need volunteers to help witness the record, act as timekeepers, take photograph and be scorekeepers.
The marathon match – starring players from Middlesbrough Futsal Club - starts at 10am at Catterick Leisure Centre on July 1. Admission to watch is free.
The world record attempt will raise funds for TFM Radio’s ‘Cash for Kids’ appeal as well as the Middlesbrough Futsal Club.
