A 28-year-old man has been charged with robbery following an incident in Garnet Street, Middlesbrough, at about 10.30am on June 5.
A 38-yearold man was walking along the street from Linthorpe Road when he was allegedly threatened by a man with a knife, who then stole £40 from him and punched him in the face.
Police are keen to speak to a taxi driver who may have witnessed the incident.
