A HEADTEACHER of a top international school is to takeover at a Teesside school next year.
Deborah Duncan is currently working at The English School, in Cyprus and will start as headteacher of Teesside High School, in Eaglescliffe, from January.
She has previously worked in the private sector and has 20 years experience working in education, as well being a published author.
Mrs Duncan said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed as the new headteacher of Teesside High School.
"I am honoured to have been given the privilege of leading such a lovely school and shall do my very best to serve the school's community well."
Mrs Duncan has previously studied at the University of Durham and the University of York.
The school's former headteacher, Thomas Packer, left the school having been invited to set up the country's first free school in west London.
Acting headmaster, Malcolm Wilkinson will stand in until January.
