A TINY east Cleveland venue is presenting its 100th classical music concert later this month.
Sir William Turner's Almshouses at Kirkleatham, Redcar, has become a leading venue for musicians from across the world.
Peter Sotheran, chairman of the trustees and the concert organiser, said: "We began with a 'one-off' concert to test the waters.
"The success encouraged us to try a second, and a third. Now, 11 years later, what seemed like a good idea at the time, presenting the occasional concert, has become a fascinating and highly rewarding full-time hobby.
"The chapel where we hold the concerts seats only 100 guests. The musicians love it because it is such an intimate atmosphere."
Each year, the concerts raise a small amount of money that is used towards the cost of maintaining the 17th Century Grade I-listed building.
The special concert to celebrate the 100th recital will feature Russian pianist Veronika Ilinskaya.
The concert takes place on Thursday, June 16, at Sir William Turner's Almshouses, Kirkleatham at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 from 01642477200 with a credit card or ring 01642-482828 to reserve tickets to collect at the door.
