PRESTON Hall is staging events for children over the half-term holiday.

They can learn stained glass techniques and will be able to make a plastic lightcatcher to take home on Wednesday, June 1, with sessions running from 10.15am to 11am, 11.15am to noon, 1.15pm to 2pm and 2.15pm to 3pm.

Ravinda Cheema will be telling stories through dance on Thursday, June 2, from 10.30am to 11.30am, 11.30am to 12.30pm, 1.30pm to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Youngsters can get their hands dirty on Friday, June 3, by making painted handprint impressions. Sessions run from 10.15am to 11am, 11.15am to noon, 1.15pm to 2pm and 2.15pm to 3pm.

Punch and Judy shows for children aged seven and upwards are being held on Sunday, June 5, by Llewellyn for Fun. The traditional family shows, which last 25 minutes, are being performed at 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm.

All school holiday activities are free, although there is a 50p suggested donation per person to help towards costs.

Preston Hall Museum and Park, owned by Stockton Borough Council, is undergoing a £7m redevelopment.
