A NEW business scheme has seen one woman surfing the crest of a wave.
Zoee Smith worked alongside Redcar and Cleveland's Enterprise Team to help develop her Saltburn Surf School business.
The 29-year-old, from Brotton, has become one of the poster girls for the project after appearing on a 20ft advertising hoarding.
She said: "The Enterprise Team were really helpful. They were quick and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them and that was a real bonus for me and my business.
"Running the Surf School is a lifestyle choice which suits me perfectly. I'd definitely recommend getting in touch with the Enterprise team if you have a hobby or idea which you think could turn into your perfect career."
The campaign promotes the area as a great place to start a business for people of any age, gender or background and aims to encourage people to take the next step.
Councillor George Dunning, leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, said: "We are committed to helping the people of Redcar and Cleveland find work and create opportunities, particularly in these challenging economic times."
