A NORTH-EAST diner has been raising money for a spinal charity supported by a popular motorbiker.
The Pit Stop Diner, in Stockton, held a Big Brew event yesterday to raise money for Spinal Research.
Injured motorcycle racer Guy Martin started supporting the charity following an accident last year.
He said: "When I decided to support the Ride Out campaign for Spinal Research, I didn't know that I'd have a big accident at the Isle of Man TT.
"I fractured the bones inmy upper back, but luckily I didn't damage my spinal cord.
"It could so easily have been a different story and I'd have wound up paralysed. That's why I decided to support Ride Out and combine my love of tea with motorbikes - all in the name of a good cause."
