YOUNG architects have wowed a leading international jewellery company with their interior design plans.
Students from Cleveland College of Art and Design were asked to pitch their ideas to Spatial Design, in Bedale, North Yorkshire, on behalf of their client, global jewellery firm Chamilia.
The assignment, undertaken by 14 second-year 3D students, challenged the young designers to create a reception or boardroom design, to match Chamilia's brief for their Newcastle office.
Student Laura Mills, 18, of Bishopton, whose reception design was praised by Spatial Design managing director James Dow, said: "I was really pleased when James said that my design was something that he would be willing to show to a client."
Michael McAvoy, 18, from Marton, designed a multifunctional boardroom with breakout space and a glass showcasing area, for Chamilia's charm bracelet and necklace designs.
He said: "Working to a tight time scale and having to pitch in front of established industry professionals was a great experience."
