RESIDENTS across Redcar and Cleveland are being encouraged to report pothole problems in a bid to sort out the damage caused by the recent heavy snowfall and cold temperatures.
A page has been added to the council's website to enable engineers to investigate the problem.
Temporary repairs have already been made to 946 potholes since January 4 and further full repair work is to be undertaken.
Councillor Mary Lanigan, cabinet member for highways, transportation and planning, said: "The recent severe weather and low temperatures was felt right across the borough but our crews worked extra hard in often unusual extreme conditions.
"The council is doing its best to repair the after effects and the addition of this reporting page should make it easier for members of the public to assist us locate problem areas. Our planned programme of works across the borough captures any problems but we value the input of residents to highlight problem areas."
The form can be found on www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk/potholes
