CHILDREN from a special school have something to look forward to after receiving a new bus from the Variety Club.
Holmwood School, which caters for young people with learning difficulties, were handed the keys to the Sunshine bus today.
The specially designed bus will enable the school to take its pupils to range of sports events, educational visits and community projects.
Headteacher Judy Wake said: "If we want to take the children somewhere often finding transport that will fit their very specific needs is usually difficult - especially as we have quite a few children here.
"Having the Sunshine Coach will mean that we can go where we want to, without worrying how we are all going to get there. It takes away the difficulty we would face on planning a trip.
"It also means that we can take the children out more often, which I'm sure they will be very pleased about. I would like to say a huge thank you to the Variety Club on behalf of the staff and pupils here at Holmwood School. The Sunshine Coach is going to help us so much and it's difficult to put into words what it will mean to everyone here."
