TEXTILE students have the measure of the world of fashion fabric after returning from a Paris trade fair with orders for their designs.
International fashion houses were so impressed they bought the rights to work produced by students from Cleveland College of Art & Design.
Buyers from all over the world attended the Premiere Vision exhibition at Parc D'Exposition in Paris.
The forty one students were the only representatives from the whole of the North-East.
International buyers bought 16 designs further enhancing the colleges reputation.
Jennie Harrison, 21, of Bishop Auckland, who is studying a BA in textiles and surface design, said: "Having work actually bought feels like a huge achievement because it means that our designs will be out there and may appear anywhere in the world. Paris was an absolute inspiration and I loved the architecture."
Programme leader Tricia Mackenzie and tutors Jayne Hemmins and Claire Baker accompanied the students on the six day trip.
