PUPILS had a hands-on trip back in time to learn more about roman history.
The year 4 pupils at Myton Park Primary school enjoyed a day of fancy dress, food and Roman culture in a bid to kick start their historical adventure.
They were able to sample food made from authentic Roman recipes, washed down with fake honeyed-wine and create their own mosaic.
Teacher Lee Eason said: "The day went really well and the children really enjoyed themselves. Its something we do every year to get them interested in roman history.
"They cooked original recipes and ate black pepper and honey pancakes before carrying out research and creating mosaics that will form part of a display in the school."
