A PRIMARY school has been described as ‘exceptionally caring’ and a ‘good school’ following a visit from Government inspectors.
Ofsted visited West View Primary School in Hartlepool last month as part of a national programme of school inspection.
The Ofsted report says: "West View is a good school and has a number of strengths. Senior managers, class teachers and teaching assistants work well together to provide the pupils with outstanding care and support.
"All staff know their pupils and their personal circumstances extremely well. Such knowledge helps staff to develop pupils’ confidence and motivation, as well as supporting their good achievement."
Co-headteachers Andy Brown and Isabell Parkinson said: "We are really pleased to be judged by Ofsted as a good school. "Everyone associated with the school works incredibly hard to provide the best possible learning environment and opportunities for our children.
"However, we will not rest on our laurels and will address the areas Ofsted have identified for further improvement."
