In spite of the wild weather, more than 200 people took part in an day of artistic events in Gisborough Priory.
Young and old were given the chance to produce Norse masks, shields, helmets and axes, while storyteller, Margaret Whitfield, encouraged her listeners to get into the spirit with specially made costumes and tales of the Norse gods told in the woodland gardens.
Saturday's event culminated with a lantern parade along Monks Walk in the priory.
Gisborough Priory Project organiser, Carol Robinson, said: "Everyone seems to have had a great time in spite of the dreadful weather conditions. We hope to build on this success and do something bigger and better next year."
