A WOMAN was subjected to a serious sexual assault during the early hours of Monday morning.
The victim, who is in her late teens, was approached on the Borough Road flyover near North Ormesby in Middlesbrough by a man in a balaclava at around 1am.
He took her underneath the flyover near Lytton Street where the assault took place before he left the scene.
The suspect is described as being white, between 5ft 6ins and 6ft tall and with a very slim build. The victim remembers the suspect as being strong.
He spoke with a County Durham or Geordie accent and had a husky voice.
At the time of the assault the suspect was wearing a balaclava, a dark sports top with a logo on the left side of the chest, black tracksuit bottoms, black lace-up trainers and gloves.
