AN ALARM system was ripped from a wall of a property where a "large amount" of cash was reported stolen from an elderly couple.
Police are investigating a burglary after two men were seen on Darlington Road, in the Hartburn area of Stockton, between 2.30pm and 3.45pm on Friday, September 1.
One of the men was seen wearing an orange overall while the other wore a blue overall with a black cap.
The pair are now being sought by Cleveland Police and Detective Sergeant Louise Sproson said: “Those responsible for this crime have targeted an elderly couple, who have now been left feeling vulnerable in their own home.
“Burglary is an intrusive and emotive crime which can leave victims feeling frightened.
“Anyone with information regarding those responsible is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers in confidence.”
Any witnesses or anyone with any information on the incident can contact Cleveland Police's DS Sproson via the non-emergency number 101.
