AN imitation firearm has been recovered after police officers stormed a house in Middlesbrough tonight.
Cleveland Police officers searched the address in Roscoe Street at about 6pm after receiving intelligence a man may have been in possession of a firearm.
A police spokesman confirmed an imitation firearm was recovered and stressed the incident was not connected to any of the terrorist attacks that have happened in other parts of the country.
She said: "We would like to stress that this activity is not linked to any other incidents elsewhere in the country and it remains a local investigation."
