A LOCAL authority is trying to persuade more people to consider becoming a councillor.
Stockton Borough Council will host a free event called Make a difference – Be a Councillor at Stockton Town Hall at 5pm on Thursday, March 27.
Those attending the event will be able to meet with current councillors from each political party.
