A PAIR of seasoned volunteers have been rewarded for their dedication to the British Heart Foundation.
Ann Webster, 80 and Evie Moralee, 73 have racked up 20 years’ service in the charity’s Billingham store.
And the pair were invited to a special celebration to mark the occasions.
Shop manager Linda Hogg said: “They have given us so much time and are such fantastic members of the team here in Billingham. We simply couldn’t do without them at the shop. They come in rain or shine and are so dedicated and happy to help.”
Mrs Webster said: “I am delighted that my work has been recognised, but I really couldn’t do it without the amazing team here at the Billingham shop. I feel that the award is for the whole team, not just for me.”
Mrs Moralee added: “I would encourage anyone to volunteer for the BHF as it is such a rewarding experience and so much fun. We have a lot of support as volunteers and there are lots of things you can do to get involved. I would urge everyone to pop into their local shop and see how they can help.”
