A PHOTOGRAPHER with a keen interest in vintage cameras was taking pictures of the public with his 1919 Box Brownie at a farmers’ market.
Charles Twist, of Saltburn, was at the Stockton Farmers’ Market in Wellington Square capturing images of visitors with his vintage bellows camera.
Mr Twist, who himself has a stall at the market selling pictures, took photos with his specialised camera of stallholders last year, which were displayed in some of Wellington Square’s shop windows in the autumn.
He uses the old-fashioned bellows camera with a vintage lens which, he says, lends a timeless quality to the pictures he takes.
Many of the pictures he sells at the market are of iconic North-East landmarks.
Other stalls at Saturday’s market included rare-breed pork, cheese, cakes, vegetables, bread, cured meats, pies, handmade jewellery and vintage cushions.
