A woman will appear in court to face a charge of causing the death of a Teesside motorcyclist by careless driving.
Nick Robinson was riding his Triumph Tiger motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a Toyota Rav4 near Settle, North Yorkshire, driven by a 62-year-old woman in August last year.
Retired teacher Mr Robinson, from Ingleby Barwick, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Leeds General Hospital.
The 64-year-old remained at the hospital for 20 days before he died.
North Yorkshire Police launched an investigation and the female driver, from Sheffield, has now been summonsed to appear at Skipton Magistrates’ Court on a charge of death by careless driving.
She is due to appear at the court tomorrow (Friday).
