Operation Seal: Cleveland Police’s efforts to protect Haverton Hill and Seal Sands industrial park from metal thieves have been a success, with thefts dropping from ten last week to two this week. Dog patrols and stop checks were carried out and police have warned they will continue to monitor the site.
Easter play scheme: Myplace Middlesbrough is hosting a play scheme this Easter for eight to 13-year-olds. The scheme will take place from Tuesday, April 2 to Friday, April 5 and Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 12. Fun activities will include films, Easter arts and crafts and trips out. The scheme costs £10 per day or £6 per half day.
Rural meeting: Tees Valley Rural Community Council hosted its fourth Rural Summit at Preston Park on Friday, March 15. Aimed at discussing the challenges facing the rural community, the summit made plans to raise awareness of rural industries and to protect the natural environment.
