A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a petrol station in Ormesby yesterday (Thursday, March 21).
The 37-year-old, from Middlesbrough, was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.
The incident took place at Snax 24 on Ormesby High Street in Middlesbrough, at 1.30pm.
Police said a man walked into the petrol station and demanded cash. He then produced two knives and escaped with a small amount of cash, cigarettes and alcohol.
There were several other customers in the shop at the time.
