A SIGNED copy of Earl Spencer’s eulogy for Princess Diana is being auctioned to raise money for a karting team made up of injured soldiers.
KartForce, whose motto is "You don't need all your limbs to race, just British bulldog balls”, recently set a world record in Middlesbrough for the furthest driven in 24 hours with handcontrols.
They are now looking to raise money in the hope that they can expand and set up teams all over the country.
In order to raise funds, they are holding an online auction of donated goods, including the signed eulogy. Bids for the rare item start at £750.
Dave Player, ex-soldier and founder of KartForce, said: “The eulogy was donated to us by Earl Spencer. I contacted him and told him about our organisation. He wanted to support us and so donated this item.
"We hope the money raised will go towards establishing teams all over the country and helping our members participate in races.”
Anyone who would like to donate any items for sale at auction should post them to: KartForce, 1 St Leger Court, Newbury, RG14 1TW. To bid on the signed eulogy or other items, visit: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/KartForce-Online-Auction
