STUDENTS from colleges and schools across the area lent a hand with a massive bulb planting programme at a historic park.
Up to 20 students from Askham Bryan College put their green fingers to good use in Middlesbrough’s Stewart Park.
They helped to plant 120,000 bulbs which were placed around the park this autumn, ensuring it’s a blaze of colour come the spring.
Work is already under way to plant tulips, daffodils, crocuses, snowdrops and muscari.
Other schools will be getting involved in the planting drive, and volunteers from the local community are also welcome to help out.
Anyone who would like to volunteer is asked to contact Nicky Morgan on 01642-515643.
