A Richmond tourist attraction is hosting a week of spooky games and crafts to keep children busy over the half-term holiday.

The Station, Richmond, will be visited by Wanda the Witch on Halloween to take families on a story walk for children aged seven to 12.

Other activities include making costumes and masks, lanterns, finger puppets, spider, cat and bat decorations, and Guy Fawkes puppets.

General manager Laura Hannaway said: “As half-term falls so late, we've covered Halloween and bonfire night.

“We're running a full day from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Wednesday, October 31, as well as scary face painting in the afternoon and a Pumpkin Trail quiz.

“Wanda tells me that she's showing how to make easy Halloween decorations 5.30 – 6pm before she leads people into the dark and entertains with her stories.

“I know she's expecting weird and wonderful costumes and lanterns of various types to light her way.”

Activities are child-centred so parents and carers do not need to stay, but they should be around for the full day session on Wednesday for under 12s at lunchtime.

There's a maximum of 14 per session, so early booking is recommended.
