ROBBERS have attacked a shop worker and smashed display cabinets in a raid on a city centre store.
The 26-year-old employee of Motor World, in Ripon, North Yorkshire, was punched and forced into a back room after three men entered the shop at 11am on Tuesday.
The thieves empted the till and stole goods from the car parts store before running away along Westgate, carrying a box.
The worker, who was the only person in the premises at the time, was treated for minor injuries he sustained in the attack at Harrogate District Hospital.
Detective Sergeant Paul Schofield said: “This robbery has naturally left the man who was working in the store shaken by the experience. Thankfully, his injuries are not serious.”
The men are all described as about 5ft 8in tall and aged in their mid to late 20s. Two of the men have slim builds and the third man is described as thin.
