THE driver of a tractor that was involved in a hit and run incident with another vehicle has been urged to contact police to give his side of the story.
The incident happened at about 10am on Saturday, October 29 on an unclassified road between Rievaulx Bridge and Scawton, in Ryedale, when a silver Dodge Null 4x4 was hit by a blue Ford tractor, which was towing a rusty trailer.
The driver of the tractor failed to stop at the scene of the incident and police have appealed to the public to help trace him.
PC Linda Coles, of Malton police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward and help us identify the other vehicle involved.
“I would also appeal directly to the driver of the tractor to do the right thing and contact the police so we can get his version of events.”
Anyone with information can contact PC Coles on 0845-60-60-247, quoting reference 12110184597.
